Since the Ohio House Speaker’s abrupt resignation in April, Ohio House Republicans have been busy proving they can’t be relied upon to govern.
House GOP dragged into contentious Tuesday speaker vote
16 bills were scheduled for tomorrow on topics ranging from helping stroke victims to substitute teachers to wrongful imprisonment. Session is cancelled because the GOP couldn't pick a Speaker to replace the last one who resigned in disgrace. They're proving they can't govern.

As a result, critical bills can’t receive final votes, and the work of the people has ground to a halt. We must call our local representatives and tell them: Get the House in order!
Script: “Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m calling from [ADDRESS]. I’m disappointed in the Ohio House. Representatives can’t seem to get past political maneuvering and do the work they were sent to Columbus to do. The people of my neighborhood don’t care as much about who the next Speak is as much as they care about the critical legislation that sits incomplete while House Republicans bicker and squabble. Put constituents over party and please encourage your colleagues to do the same.”
